The classical theories of Acupuncture have been developed and refined for over 5,000 years and form the basis for all styles of Acupuncture. Clinical practice however, varies enormously.
Five Element Acupuncture has its roots in Japanese and Korean styles as well as the Chinese tradition but was brought to Europe in the 20th century. This system of acupuncture developed initially in the UK and France before spreading to the USA in the 1960s.
Although not widely practiced in Canada, its philosophy and clinical application is particularly suited to our Western lifestyle and Western causes of disease and conditions.
